some more strange things. My /etc/config/dhcp contains:
config 'dnsmasq'
option 'domainneeded' '1'
option 'boguspriv' '1'
option 'localise_queries' '1'
option 'rebind_protection' '1'
option 'rebind_localhost' '1'
option 'local' '/lan/'
option 'expandhosts' '1'
option 'authoritative' '1'
option 'readethers' '1'
option 'leasefile' '/tmp/dhcp.leases'
option 'resolvfile' '/tmp/resolv.conf.auto'
list 'server' '/local.do.main/10.172.1.1'
option 'domain' 'pelle.local.do.main'
config 'dhcp' 'lan'
option 'interface' 'lan'
option 'leasetime' '12h'
option 'start' '65'
option 'limit' '64'
config 'dhcp' 'wan'
option 'interface' 'wan'
option 'ignore' '1'
so if i do a:
root@alice:~# nslookup rita.local.do.main
Server: 127.0.0.1
Address 1: 127.0.0.1 localhost.
nslookup: can't resolve 'rita.local.do.main': Name or service not known
and this is also reasonable, this is exactly the things i'm tring to fix.
But the strange things is:
root@alice:~# nslookup rita.local.do.main 8.8.8.8
Server: 8.8.8.8
Address 1: 8.8.8.8 google-public-dns-a.google.com
nslookup: can't resolve 'rita.local.do.main': Name or service not known
Nota that from an IP dynamically assigned by 'alice' (eg, an IP 10.172.3.X)
i've tried the same resolution and work.
There's something that ''filter out'' resolution, even using external IP?
Really i don't understand... sorry and thanks.
