Ping normally isn't TCP, are you saying that only authentication works, but nothing else works? By any chance are you running a custom ROM? There are a few out there, which have problems with EAP.
Does the DHCP even assign IP address to the phone?

Hello Christian!

Whats about the Android firewall ?
What kind of TCP connection do you want to do ??

From an easy and very simple point of view,
Android is a Linux Dist with a touch friendly GUI and some system apps to
handle the SIM card for Telephony/SMS/Modem.
I know!

Default Firewall settings might depend on Manufacturer, Model and Android
Version and additional Telephone provider if using a "Branded" Phone.
Well, with my previous WLAN-Router I didn't have any problem...
It's very strange, since the phone is always connected, but it does not
answer to any connection (such ping or similar).
Just waiting until DHCP-refresh it works again...

I tried now to assign a STATIC IP on my phone... maybe it is the problem...
