But the issue is, there is no .bin file created or available for download for Mikrotik RB951Ui-2HnD (ar71xx). While flashing the device, we copy the kernel to first mtd partition while untar the root filesystem to the second partition. So, if I create root filesystem's tar.gz with kernel included in it, would the sysupgrade script take care of this and replace the old kernel with new one on /dev/mtdblock1? Or do I need to hack the sysupgrade script so that it switches to ramfs, does a pivot_root and follows the steps of actually flashing the hardware the original way?
