Hello,

We have some OpenWRT based routers we are trying to build some custom
firewall rules on and while testing we are noticing that our wireless
interfaces randomly stop responding to any IP traffic. Its been going on
for many weeks and I cannot find any cause/correlation in the logs so I am
hoping for some troubleshooting guidance and/assistance.

When the problem happens, everything "appears" normal. Clients (both mac
and PC) can connect to wireless and we can see them connect in logread:

Mon Apr 18 23:15:04 2016 daemon.info hostapd: wlan1: STA e4:f8:9c:85:63:99
IEEE 802.11: associated

Mon Apr 18 23:15:04 2016 daemon.info hostapd: wlan1: STA e4:f8:9c:85:63:99
RADIUS: starting accounting session 57153C27-00000000

Mon Apr 18 23:15:04 2016 daemon.info hostapd: wlan1: STA e4:f8:9c:85:63:99
WPA: pairwise key handshake completed (RSN)

But, when the issue happens, no traffic will pass until I issue `ifconfig
wlan0 down; ifconfig wlan1 up`

Any ideas of what may be causing this and how to possibly track down the
culprit? We are running barrier_breaker with our IP Tables script and a
customer firewall which attached with libnetfilter-queue. I should also
note that the wired interfaces never experience this problem, its only the
wireless interfaces.

Thanks for any help!
