Did you uninstall wpad-mini before trying to install wpad?
Uninstalling wpad-mini should free up ~200kB. Maybe it's enough for wpad
to fit.
I tried that, but as on TP-Link TL-WA701ND v1 i saw a _reduced_ amount
of free memory! On TL-WA701ND i just tried removing wpad-mini. That
reduced free space from 40 to 32kb.
I also saw this effect on TL-MR3420 V2.3 and szill wasn't able to
install wpad due to unsufficient mem.
So my idea was: take the .config used to build [1], edit it, disabling
most ppp- and usb-entries and copying it to ImageBuilder-directory. Then
make image PROFILE=??? PACKAGE="wpad -wpad-mini -ppp -ppp-pppoe".
But where to get the .config ?
