Slightly off topic --

I have been using dia to draw network diagrams but none of the
stencils have a decent set for illustrating Wireless network topology.

Does anyone know what tool is used to draw the network illustrations
in the openwrt wiki?

FWIW, it is possible to draw your own "shapes" using this link as a guide:
http://dia-installer.de/howto/create_shape/index.html.en#creating_a_shape

But I am wondering what tool was used to create the illustration on
this wiki page:
<https://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/recipes/relayclient>

This isn't the tool that was used to generate that wiki page, but I've had good luch using the blockdiag set of tools

http://blockdiag.com/

including the network diagram subset

http://blockdiag.com/en/nwdiag/index.html

similar to the graphviz DOT format, it takes text and can output various image formats.
