It depends a bit on what you all include in "cluster capabilities" - I see this as a huge set of new features. Running on more than one node should not be that difficult, even a takeover of dead nodes is not a real problem (if you have a solid detection of a dead node!). Things as load-balancing, special purpose nodes, etc. need a lot of conceptual work and I do not see this useable in a first step.
