Well, the current development head runs on Ubuntu 12.04 which has openssl 1.0, so it looks like that.

As for GOST, starting with ver.1.0, openssl has a built-in support of
GOST. That is why it is not "merge" what we need here, but a major
rewriting. Also, GOST support in oxi would look like:

At the moment we have a requirement from one of our sponsoring customers to support SLES 11 which is still openssl 0.9.8 - so we cant drop that tomorrow. Regarding the public project we will most likely choose debian wheezy and SLES 12 for the official "OpenXPKI 1.0" release - both are shipping openssl 1.0.
