Hi,

Concerning a patch about LibreSSL submitted by Bernard Spil:

https://github.com/Sp1l/openxpki/commit/1ba7b7f4aeaed78bc4a130c6b5899426c40ded7f

LibreSSL has first removed support of GOST crypto algorithms, then began
adding them back little by little. Cf:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LibreSSL

At the moment GOST algs are not fully supported by LibreSSL. In any case
they are (and maybe will be) supported in a very different way, compared
to the way of OpenSSL.

I saw this request and I share your emotions. There is more than GOST which might bring problems when using LibreSSL. I dont know LibreSSL internals at all but we heavily rely on openssl output formats and link against internal methods of the libssl which might not be possible with LibreSSL. I will discuss this with the patch contributor and see if there are any issues with LibreSSL.

Oliver
