ok, i got it to install and all now. thanks for the help.

I'm pretty sure you don't need kerberos5, GSSAPI and Authen::SASL. Which
package lists them as a dependency?
i think this was all because Net::LDAP needed Authen::SASL, so i answered
"yes" when cpan asks whether it should also grab SASL, but after running,
nothing really changed because it would ask again the next time. so i "cpan
Authen::SASL" and it required GSSAPI, which required a command
"krb5-<something>".
yea so i just installed everything to make it happy.

You are missing the Template package, which you can obtain via CPAN
as well. I've just updated the deployment README to reflect this.
