This is probably because you're missing the corresponding locale ...
What does
$ locale -a | grep en_GB
say?
The change that broke that for you is pretty recent. Did the english
web interface work for you before that? Until recently, we just didn't
check the result of setlocale(), so we didn't notice whether that
failed, but apparently it seemed to work nonetheless - guess we need to
figure what the best way to go here is ...
