Hi,

I recently got notified that the new release of OpenXPKI should be
really easy to get going and so I followed the Quickstart guide to get
an instance up and running for testing purposes. My final goal is to
have a fully working SCEP server to develop a client against. I followed
the guide except for the section "Setup base certificates" where I just
ran "sampleconfig.sh".

Everything went fine until I hit a roadblock in the SCEP part. "getca"
works fine, but on the enrollment part I get FAILURE returned. Having
worked with the OpenXPKI already, I took a look at the backend and saw
the state "CHECK_FOR_VALID_REQUEST" failing. Digging further I found
these related log entries: http://pastebin.com/YaJn1QMP

I checked out the function at
OpenXPKI/Service/SCEP/Command/PKIOperation.pm:54 but could not figure
out what the problem was - because it does not report any error code I
have a hard time figuring out what's wrong here. Neither scep.log nor
stderr.log seem to contain anything useful.

For reference: I used the current sscep master branch as a client - as I
know it should work.

I assume this is just a simple configuration issue but I don't know
where to start looking so any help would be greatly appreciated, even if
someone can only tell me where to get further information.

Thanks in advance and regards,
Florian
