Sorry for the delay - the preferred way would be to insert a new activity into the workflow, that presets the certificate subject hash. Unfortunatly there is no activity for such yet, so you need to write up your own. You need to inject a serialized hash into the context for key cert_subject_parts and set the key "username" (or whatever you referenced the field to) to the value of the logged in user.
