yes you are right, it looks like something in the build chain did mess up the packages index file. The debian jessie packages are working so please consider to use those for the moment - I need to investigate what the problem is with Ubuntu.

Hello Scott,

there are no packages for Ubuntu 16.04 due to some problems with the
packaging process (see https://github.com/openxpki/openxpki/issues/482)

Officially supported distros are Debian 8 and Ubuntu 14.04
