Hi Benjamin,

there are known problems with the packaging in Ubuntu 16/18 which is the
main reason why we did not offer packages for those.

It SHOULD work if you directly run make/make install on the target box
or build and manually copy the reqiured files by other means. Note that
OpenXPKI uses a binary openssl binding and does not yet work with
openssl 1.1 so you need to use the openssl 1.0 compat library on Ubuntu
18.04.

We are working on an upgrade to debian 9.0 and openssl 1.1 - any help is
greatly appreciated. Packages for Ubuntu are not on our release schedule
 as there has been very few demand for it but if you can provide a fix
for the packaging we are happy to include this into the main repository.
