Dear OpenXPKI Fellows, we are happy to announce our new release v3.6 - debian packages and docker images are already out on the servers.
As we have changed quite a lot please test before upgrading your production systems! The main change is our new WebUI - the layout did not change much but we upgraded the underlying libraries to support recent browsers. The UI should now work with IE11 up to the new Edge Chromium and all supported versions of Firefox, Chrome and Safari. In case you have modified your OpenXPKI start page you will need to update this as the application starter has changed! Please report any problem on the mailing list. There are a lot of small bugfixes and enhancements, most notably the RPC and EST wrappers can now use a "preflight workflow" to resume an existing session - documentation on this will follow soon. As we have seen a lot of problems on the Mailinglist regarding disfunctional tokens we have now added a new API call "get_token_info" to show the properties of a token and its status. The default configuration does now store the CA tokens inside the database and also offers a "one stop" script to load certificate plus key and register it as token - check the man page of "openxpkiadm alias" or the Quickstart for details. We have also reorganized the openxpki-config repository - the "master" branch was moved to "community" and we have published a new README and a Quickstart to give you some guidance on how to customize your OpenXPKI while being able to merge upstream changes without to much hassle. The docker container now also works with the community branch and got some new helper scripts to ease the setup of test deployments. Because of the safety measures for the ongoing Covid-19 situation, we will not be able to hold the postponed OpenXPKI Workshop this year but we hope to be able to offer it in the coming year. If the delay impacts your organization's upcoming project timelines, please feel free to reach out to us for an individual consulting or demo session. looking forward for your feedback! with best regards the OpenXPKI rabbits -- White Rabbit Security GmbH, Werner-Heisenberg-Str. 8, 85254 Sulzemoos Contact: +49 8135 314 000-0, [email protected] Director: Martin Bartosch, Scott T.
