Back up the configuration and the database. When backing up the database take into account the possible latency between the latest database state in the backup and the current system state. Depending on your risk evaluation and operational model regarding the integrity and accountability of the artefacts created by the CA system you may want a real-time backup of the database (such as archive logs written to a remote system in real time).
