Dear OpenXPKI Fellows, we are happy to announce the availability of OpenXPKI v3.12.
*PLEASE NOTE*: As already announced we have removed the authentication handlers External and ClientSSO which have been referenced in the sample configurations earlier. Please see https://openxpki.readthedocs.io/en/latest/upgrading.html *before* pulling the new packages! The most notable feature is the reworked authentication layer which can now be extended in a very flexible manner. We also added some convenience methods to prefill form element such as eMail and Name from values obtained during authentication. The password handling was also improved and the internal validators now accept the very common "crypt" format starting with "$x$" without any prefix as well as Argon2 password hashes.
