Hi,
I have no idea what the Bounce Castle library expects or sends for
authentication so I am unable to help you with this. The basic auth
pattern is used by several of our customers and worked without problems
so far.
At all it does not sound like an OpenXPKI problem, you might find
additional information in the apache logs.
