Hi Matt,

the openxpki base packages will very likely work but you need to fiddle around with the CPAN deps packages we provide as those are built against some libraries that are different on bookworm, most notably openssl.

The good news is that with the upcoming release v3.26 we will switch from buster to bookworm. We are already in the stabilization phase and I will very likely push the first packages for testing by next week, the final release will hopefully be done by mid of august.

best regards

Oliver

Hi!

I am wanting to deploy a new OpenXPKI CA server on a Debian VM, and I am wondering if I can use something other than Buster as it currently has less than 12 months of security support left.

Could you please tell me if the packages will run on Bookworm?

I am after a CA set up that is Debian packaged as Debian is the system I am used to, being a long term Debian Developer.

Step-ca does not cut it for what I need, and EJBCA is a Java hair ball when it comes to upgrading.

Thank you!

Matt Grant
