Hello,

We have noticed that since yesterday Gtalk users have problems joining
chat rooms.
Gtalk server replies with an error to the group chat messages the user
receive.
It seems that it is not an implementation specific problem as several
MUC room implementation are suffering from this problem.

Here is what's happen from the point of the conference server:
* Groupchat message send to user:
<message from='[email protected]/dendik'
to='[email protected]/tkabberC90012E4' id='941:210989'
xml:lang='en' type='groupchat'><body>..................,
.......... .......... ......-............ ................ ......
.....................</body><x
xmlns='jabber:x:delay' stamp='20090121T22:49:43'/></message>

* Reply from Gtalk:
<message from="[email protected]/tkabberC90012E4"
to="[email protected]/dendik" id="941:210989" xml:lang="en"
type="error"><body>..................,
.......... .......... ......-............ ................ ......
.....................</body><x
stamp="20090121T22:49:43" xmlns="jabber:x:delay"/><error code="503"
type="cancel"><service-unavailable
xmlns="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:xmpp-stanzas"/></error></message>

There is a thread on Gtalk support forum:
http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Talk/thread?tid=6275f8abe86eb776&hl=en

We are investigating if the problem only occur on delayed messages, but
we do not think so.

Does someone have more information and know if this is a bug recently
introduced or a more permanent problem with groupchat ?
