Hello Everyone, I confirm that Claudiu is right, I've already discuss with him several weeks ago about this, and his patch works perfect.
Anyway is that the same patch that you've send to me or you have made new updates/changes on that patch file? Perhaps all of you can give it a try a live in http://mayplaces.com/im/ FYI, This problem previously known when Jappix 0.3[prism] not able to connect to OF 3.7.0 stable version, but after applying Claudiu patch now it works flawlessly. The result is our S2S able to connect to Facebook chat, Yahoo messenger, Gtalk, etc. For more detailed instructions, please visit the following pages: http://mayplaces.com/support/How-do-I-connect-to-other-chat-providers-using-MayPlaces-iM-c3-a19.html#f19 Best Regards, Aryo S. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: 19 April 2011 4:54 To: [email protected] Subject: Operators Digest, Vol 37, Issue 10 Send Operators mailing list submissions to [email protected] To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit http://mail.jabber.org/mailman/listinfo/operators or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to [email protected] You can reach the person managing the list at [email protected] When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than "Re: Contents of Operators digest..." Since OF also has a weird way of handling secure connections, it usually relies on Dialback, especially when dealing with other server types in S2S communication. I've noticed this only recently, when I couldn't subscribe to swen [at] jabberheaven.com. Apparently, the issue is known (http://issues.igniterealtime.org/browse/OF-443) but there seems to be little to no support from the official OF team. I've successfully managed to patch OF 3.7.0 using the patch from http://community.igniterealtime.org/servlet/JiveServlet/download/211004-10758/openfire-of443.patch.zip (by Gordon Messmer) and dialback works fine again. If there are any Openfire admins around who have the problem, try using the patch. Last but not least, I wish to know which is the status of the new entry requests for the public XMPP server list. Openfire users might have had problems getting contacted by the moderators because of the above issue. Also, awesome work on the new xmpp.org website! -- Claudiu CURC? ------------------------------ Message: 3 Date: Mon, 18 Apr 2011 18:42:08 +0200 From: "Jabber-Server.de Support / Ren? We contact admins first via email (hostmaster/postmaster/webmaster and so on), so XMPP is not the primary method for initial contact (we do this to make sure that the real admin or domain owner wants their server listed, not some random IM user :) > Also, awesome work on the new xmpp.org website! I've been a bit busy with personal problems, but I guess it could be a good idea to let them know that the patch is functional. Also, if more OF admins could confirm that it fixes the problem and report that upstream, that would be great. Regarding a new release, imho this bug alone should force a 3.7.1 release, as it is quite a blocker for anyone who wishes to have functional S2S services. > > Last but not least, I wish to know which is the status of the new entry > > requests for the public XMPP server list.
