Ok,

So, spanning quite a few emails, I'm working on a liveUSB based on Gentoo. It's purpose is not to offend anyone. The purpose is to help decipher OPM into the known list of codes that are the most recently stable, options of how those codes inter operate, and define a common build specification (mostly shell) as to how to compile each and every module within the OPM sphere of codes (modules).

I have most of the ebuilds ready for the 2013 vintage of OPM, the last stable release. Once I get this working, I add the current lastest quasi-stable codes into another version release and work on getting those into testing form. Any information about reorganizing the codes or renaming codes (modules) is greatly appreciated.

So what I need is a list of each and every languge, ide, etc that folks would like to see on the liveusb image (C, C++, etc or gcc, g++, clang etc etc). Versions as well as any other details are welcome. Naturally proprietary non open source languages are problematic in linux. If there is a work-around, just send me details and I'll try to include and support that too.

Also a list of any other repositories (github etc) where folks have codes they want listed so folks can find their work quickly and conveniently.

Also eclipse or any other (IDE)Integrated Development Environments. On a livedUSB stick we can all quickly plug it in, boot up, compile the sources and together debug dependencies and such worked out so as to define versions of codes (modules) that compile and work together. Folk can use that info to spin binaries for whatever distro they choose to support.

All suggestions are welcome.

hth,
James
