The problem is that upstream we try to detect left over libtool libraries to force people to use CMake downstream. The problem is that OPM does create these *.la files on purpose to support modules not using CMake. I am wondering whether we should stop supporting autotools for downstream modules and stop creating *.la files. (I guess this is untested in any case). This means enforcing dune >=2.3 which comes with CMake.
