Dear OPM community, We have two major news items today!
1. Our new website is available. Found at the same address as before (opm-project.org), we hope that the new site will serve the community well, and provide all the information you need. For the moment, we are still in a transitional phase, so a few items (such as the API documentation) still remain on the old site, but we intend to move the last few items to the new site as soon as possible. If there is something you miss, or that could be improved, please tell us! 2. The 2015.10 release has now been finalized. This is the second release this year, the previous release was 2015.04. The next release is expected to be 2016.04. Main highlights of the release include: - Significantly improved performance for Flow, the fully implicit black-oil reservoir simulator. - An experimental black-oil + solvent simulator (Flow-solvent). - Improvements to the experimental black-oil + polymer simulator (Flow-polymer). - General improvements (error handling, tests etc.) to many parts of OPM, including the upscaling codes. For this release, the largest structural change is the addition of the opm-common module, which is intended to be the root of the OPM dependency tree. For now, all previously existing modules still exist (we expect to reduce the number of modules and simplify the structure after this release). Also new since last release, the opm-data repository has been made public (as announced earlier on this list). Instructions for installation are found on our download page. Binary packages are available for Ubuntu 14.04 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, instructions are available for building from source for any Linux variant or Mac OS X. Source code is found on http://github.com/OPM, use the branch "releases/2015.10" for the release versions (or "master" if you want the latest development version).
