OK good;

for the first error it seems like you are initializing your grid from an EGRID file (which seems to be broken ....) - is that correct? At least the traceback indicates that the failure takes place in EGRID loading code.

Hi Joakim,

I just found it! The missing "/" (near line 4868!)
Eclipse did actually object to this error, I just did not look carefully enough!
I now have the following error:
"Keyword SEPARATE has no effect (treated as always on).
Killed"

I think a good approach is to correct anything that Eclipse was objecting to
(since Eclipse has more understandable error messages) and take it from
there....

Subject: Flow OPM error messages: Header name and type should be enclosed with ' and
"Unknown enum state string: 4"

Hi Joakim,

Thank you for your reply, much appreciated.

For the first error (Header name and type should be enclosed with '), I searched for an
occurrence of the "IMPORT" keyword as suggested, but with no success.
Is "IMPORT" a header name or type?
What made you suspect that there was a problem with "IMPORT"?
I understand that this keyword is ignored by OPM Flow and has no effect on the
simulation

For the second error (Failed to create valid EclipseState object. Exception
caught: Unknown enum state string: 4), I checked out the link you suggested:
https://github.com/OPM/opm-simulators/issues/2734
I have not yet managed to find a WCONHIST keyword in SCH_010916_10DAYS.SCH:4868 which is
not properly terminated with a / (should this be in line 4868?) However, I would have
thought that Eclipse would give a warning (Spurious data) in the case of a missing
"/"

Despite my lack of success so far, many thanks for your advice and support -
I'll keep on trying to solve this!

Regards,
David

Dear Member,

I am just learning the ropes with OPM and I have a few issues to try to
overcome on some datasets which run fine on Eclipse:

In the first dataset, the issue with the apostrophe seems clear, but there
seems to be no indication of where in the dataset this occurs.
The error messages look rather unhelpful!

In the second dataset, it is perhaps an enumeration problem in the SOLUTION
section.

If anyone can assist me, I would be very grateful...

Kind regards,
David Wilkinson

It is difficult to be certain without your input deck.

For the first error I would search for an occurence of the "IMPORT"
keyword, for the second error I think a resolution is described here:
https://github.com/OPM/opm-simulators/issues/2734
