All, This e-mail to announce the availability of the third, and hopefully final, release candidate of the 2024.10 OPM Flow release. Binary packages are available in OPM's "testing" PPA (personal package archives), ppa:opm/testing. If you have not already enabled this PPA in your package sources you can do so through the following two commands
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:opm/testing sudo apt update Note that the simulator identifies as 2024.10-rc4 in this case, because there was an intermediary release candidate 2024.10-rc3 for which no packages were created. The 2024.10 OPM Flow release supports the following two Ubuntu LTS versions * 22.04 LTS (codename Jammy Jellyfish) * 24.04 LTS (codename Noble Numbat) Binary packages for RHEL are not available at this time. If you wish to build the release manually on your own system you can check out the release/2024.10 branch at tag release/2024.10/rc4. We encourage widespread regression testing, both in terms of the feature set and in terms of runtime performance. This release changes some of the default settings for the linear solver compared to the previous release and while the new default settings generally give improved runtime across a range of models, we want to know about any regressions in this area. Barring any unforeseen issues, we do not expect any further release candidates before the final version becomes available.
