All, I will be the release manager for the April release of the OPM Flow simulator. At the moment I picture the following timeline for the release, with two tentative release candidates before the final release. My fellow developers should pay particular attention to the feature freeze and bug fixing deadlines.
* Feature freeze, i.e., the deadline for merging new features into the master branch: Thursday the 3rd of April, 5pm CEST, release branch based on this moment * Tagging the first release candidate: Friday the 4th of April * Packages for the first release candidate: Monday the 7th of April * Bug fixing deadline for RC1: Thursday the 10th of April, 5pm CEST * Tagging second release candidate: Friday the 11th of April Easter break * Packages for the second release candidate: Tuesday the 22nd of April * Bug fixing deadline for RC2: Thursday the 24th of April, 5pm CEST * Tagging final release: Friday the 25th of April * Packages for final release: Monday the 28th of April * Testing final release packages: Tuesday the 29th of April * Announcing final release: Wednesday the 30th of April I would like to stick to this timeline as much as possible, although previous experience suggests that unforeseen issues might present during the release process. I will shortly create the 2025.04 milestone in all pertinent GitHub repositories, and I encourage developers to start tagging active PRs with this milestone if the work is intended to go into the 2025.04 release. Best Regards, Tobias Meyer Andersen SINTEF Digital, Mathematics & Cybernetics Applied Computational Science group Release Manager for OPM 2025.04 Release. _______________________________________________ Opm mailing list -- [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected]
