The HA test cases are developed by the yardstick team, and Kanglin and Qiujuan are the main contributors. I also cc them so that they can also provide ideas on their perspective. In the meantime, there is also a team within China Mobile working on automatic test case development based on our internal testing specification, and parts of these test cases are about HA. We are planning to also contribute these test cases to Yardstick once we are done. If you are interested, I think we can arrange a call for the HA project to talk about the future planning of HA testcase development, and we would very much like to hear your idea and suggestion on this. Moreover, I have been in contact with OpenStack folks, who are also planning to work on “destructive test cases” as they call it. I’d like to understand the plans of the HA project in terms of extending the HA test cases we currently have. One obvious next step is to go from process level HA testing to node level HA testing. Considering Dovetail, activities in OpenStack, planned updates in Pharos, and the upcoming plugfest, I’d like to take a deeper look at these kind of tests – also always having implement aspects in mind. I joined this week’s HA project meeting call, but it seems that either nobody else did or the meeting was canceled (likely due to Chinese holiday this week). Maybe you can briefly update me on the plans in terms of HA test cases and then we’ll have a more detailed chat in one of the next meetings? Best regards Georg
