Cedric brought up an interesting topic today in the release meeting that deserves further discussion. Cedric says that in order to validate test gating for the CD pipeline, test frameworks need the ability to conduct self-test (functional) against a known-good DUT. Currently, test frameworks are only able to run unit tests. This imposes a significant burden on all CD pipelines.
