All PTLs (and Project members), OPNFV recently voted to move to Python 3, since Python 2 will no longer be supported after this year.
On the TSC Call today (Oct 1), it was agreed to ask all PTLs to *look into support of Python 3 in all their Upstream Projects*. The purpose is to determine if there are issues, make the community aware of them, and find way(s) to deal with the issues that this lack of Python 3 support causes. Cedric Ollivier is looking into the current status of OpenStack, where there are likely issues remaining. Please make the OPNFV Community aware of Python 2 dependencies in your projects and any Upstream projects when you find them, and send mail to the OPNFV tech discuss list with subject: <project_name> Python 2 Dependencies Ideally, all project & Upstream checks should be conducted by Oct 8, with forgiveness to those currently on holiday.
