Well... as my crossing message said: not much.

Just update the version number to 6.0, and add a run time dependency in
itests to this jar on maven central (the jar is already an OSGi bundle):
  https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/javax.validation/validation-api/1.1.0.Final

Primefaces 6.0 works fine with pax-web 4.3.0, with the JSF
implementation present there.

(unfortunately moving to primefaces 6.0 didn't fix my issue.  Looks like
no community editions of primefaces does that, yet)

Ok.  (Perhaps I should have added the issue myself, but I never got
around to creating a user while the Jira/Confluence self service was
open... )
