Many thanks! You configuration worked for me with a standalone jar, even 
though I am still facing the same issue as before from within Eclipse. The 
Eclipse console is still not reacting to my commands and I am still trying 
with it.

As a side note, after few weeks trying bndtools with Eclipse and Maven, I 
tend to think that the tool is very good for creating bundles and resolving 
dependencies. For the execution and integration testing, I'd rather deploy 
features to Karaf and debug remotely. I'd be interested to know whether 
this is a common perception.
