Hi Milan, 

Did you ever find out how to do this? 
We need a way of installing a feature from a local kar which may not have 
been installed in the maven repo. KarafDistributionOption.features() is not 
an option for us because it needs to be installed. I couldn't find JB's 
post regarding this on the Karaf mailing list archives for Dec/2014.
