Hi Tianran,

Thank you for asking this good question.

The reason we feel OPSAWG is the home of SD-WAN model is because that SD-WAN
model belongs to the service model according to the RFC8199 (YANG module
classification).
Both L3SM and L2SM are defined in the Ops area. And this SD-WAN model is a
follow up model.

As for the OSE model, it is also targeted at the service model, but focuses on
inter-domain connections and inter-domain multi-path selection service, which
relates to the routing area much.
But this is just my personal opinion. I would like to ask Steve to explain
further.

Thanks,
Bo

Hi Bo,

Very helpful to describe the difference between the OSE service model and this
SD-WAN service model.
A further question is why do you think the OPSAWG is the right home for the
this service model when the OSE service model is working in RTGWG.
I see you joined both drafts, I am interested to know your thoughts on this.

Thanks,
Tianran
