Hi, Folks: Here is the update of draft-wu-model-driven-mangement-virtualization-05 based on comments received from last IETF meeting and mailing list discussion and offline discussion recently. We got a lot of inputs from operators. Thanks for that. https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-wu-model-driven-management-virtualization-05
The main goal of this draft is to exemplify how various YANG modules can be glued together to provide a service. Your further Comments and input are welcome. -Qin -----邮件原件----- 发件人: I-D-Announce [mailto:[email protected]] 代表 [email protected] 发送时间: 2019年7月4日 14:14 收件人: [email protected] 主题: I-D Action: draft-wu-model-driven-management-virtualization-05.txt A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories. Title : A Framework for Automating Service and Network Management with YANG Authors : Qin Wu Mohamed Boucadair Christian Luis Miguel Contreras Murillo Diego R. Lopez Chongfeng Xie Weiqiang Cheng Young Lee Filename : draft-wu-model-driven-management-virtualization-05.txt Pages : 37 Date : 2019-07-03 Abstract: Data models for service and network management provides a programmatic approach for representing (virtual) services or networks and deriving configuration information that will be forwarded to network and service components that are used to build and deliver the service. Data Models can be used during various phases of the service and network management life cycle, such as service instantiation, service provisioning, optimization, monitoring, and diagnostic. Also, data models are are instrumental in the automation of network management. They also provide closed-loop control for the sake of adaptive and deterministic service creation, delivery, and maintenance. This document provides a framework that describes and discusses an architecture for service and network management automation that takes advantage of YANG modeling technologies. This framework is drawn from a network provider perspective irrespective of the origin of a data module and can accommodate even modules that are developed outside the IETF. The document aims to exemplify an approach that specifies the journey from technology-agnostic services to technology-specific actions.
