When responding, please keep the subject line intact and reply to all email addresses included in the To and CC lines. (Feel free to cut this introductory paragraph, however.) The document, along with other ballot positions, can be found here: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/charter-ietf-opsawg/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- COMMENT: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for the charter write-up. The only observation i have is about the text around the interest level to adopts work: " The OPSAWG will undertake only work items that have been proven to have at least a reasonable level of interest from the operators and user community and have a committed number of editors and reviewers. " I am troubled to understand why operational technology interest and experience by vendor community is excluded? One could say that there must be sufficient operational interest by WG stakeholder groups (operator, vendor, research). What about the following alternate textblob: " The OPSAWG will undertake work items only when there is demonstrated interest and relevance across key stakeholder groups, including network operators, vendors, and the research community. Proposed work must also have a committed set of editors and a sufficient pool of reviewers to ensure quality and sustained progress.
