Dear all,

We would like to bring to your attention the upcoming non-WG forming BoF
session titled FANTEL – Fast Notification for Traffic Engineering and Load
Balancing, scheduled to take place during IETF 123, Thursday, Session I at
room "El Prado".

The BoF details are available here:

https://datatracker.ietf.org/wg/fantel/about/
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/bofreq-geng-fast-notification-for-traffic-engineering-and-load-balancing/06/

The BoF will explore use cases that require mechanisms to deliver near
real-time network status updates and identify gaps and requirements. The
goal is to gather interest in the IETF community and assess if there are
problems in scope of the IETF with sufficient support.

We are currently working on the agenda, which will include presentations on:

- Relevant use cases (both inter-DC and intra-DC).
- Problem statement
- Gap analysis
- Discussion on high-level requirements

If you are working on related topics or are interested in contributing to
the discussion, we warmly invite you to participate. Please feel free to
reach out to me and my co-chair, Yingzhen Qu, if you'd like to get involved
or have suggestions for the agenda.

We look forward to a productive discussion and hope to see many of you
there!

Best regards,
Carlos J. Bernardos and Yingzhen Qu, FANTEL BoF Chairs
