As a contributor, I have now had a chance to read through the changes based on
YANG Doc’s feedback. I think splitting out the reusable objects makes sense.

I do have a couple nits, though. In Table 2 (Example Signal-Cause-Mitigation
Mapping), I find the double negative of the “Unintended?” Column to be awkward.
Maybe invert this to a positive “Intended?” And adjust the row values?

And should the pdr-common module be after the IM so that the IM “evolves” into
the DM in its entirety?

Again, just nits. Overall, I think this document is ready to progress.

Hi All - this version incorporates the feedback received during WG last call -
notably the model changes suggested by Ladislav in YANGDOCTORS review.

cheers

John

Internet-Draft draft-ietf-opsawg-discardmodel-11.txt is now available. It is a
work item of the Operations and Management Area Working Group (OPSAWG) WG of
the IETF.

Title: Information and Data Models for Packet Discard Reporting
   Authors: John Evans
            Oleksandr Pylypenko
            Jeffrey Haas
            Aviran Kadosh
            Mohamed Boucadair
   Name: draft-ietf-opsawg-discardmodel-11.txt
   Pages: 60
   Dates: 2026-01-13

Abstract:

This document defines an Information Model and specifies a
corresponding YANG data model for packet discard reporting. The
Information Model provides an implementation-independent framework
for classifying packet loss - both intended (e.g., due to policy) and
unintended (e.g., due to congestion or errors) - to enable automated
network mitigation of unintended packet loss. The YANG data model
specifies an implementation of this Information Model for network
   elements.
