This document provides advice on the filtering of IPv4 packets based
on the IPv4 options they contain. Additionally, it discusses the
operational and interoperability implications of dropping packets
based on the IP options they contain.
This document is a product of the Operational Security Capabilities for IP
Network Infrastructure Working Group of the IETF.
BCP: This document specifies an Internet Best Current Practices for the
Internet Community, and requests discussion and suggestions for
improvements. Distribution of this memo is unlimited.
