Hi Kathleen, Given the broad scope of the charter and the fact that a set of authors here have produced a product that that everyone agrees is useful, it seems needlessly inflexible to insist that the two be bundled together. Jess' objective seems spot on.
The vulnerability assessment scenario does just that. It allows us to make progress on a manageable subset of our goals while keeping an eye to the bigger security automation landscape.
