Subject: FW: New Version Notification for
draft-fioccola-v6ops-ipv6-alt-mark-01.txt

Hi All,
You may recall the presentation of draft-fioccola-v6ops-ipv6-alt-mark in both
6MAN WG and V6OPS WG.
This new revision of the draft addresses the comments received during the
London meeting and the discussion we had with Fred Baker, Bob Hinden, Ole Troan
and Roberta Maglione.
The consensus was to consider the Conex extension in RFC7837 as the preferred
option and to propose the use of 2 bits from the reserved field in the RFC7837
ConEx extension to encode the marking method, furthermore it will be used as
HBH Header.

Would appreciate additional comments.

Best Regards,

Giuseppe

Abstract:
This document describes how the alternate marking method in [RFC8321]
can be used as the passive performance measurement method in an IPv6
domain, and will discuss the strengths and the weaknesses of the
implementation options available to network operations. It proposes
how to extend [RFC7837] to apply alternate marking technique.

Please note that it may take a couple of minutes from the time of submission
until the htmlized version and diff are available at tools.ietf.org.
