I am still getting these errors and cannot trace back the cause.  NRPE appears to be working fine (all of my checks are successful).  The only common thing is that all of the hosts that get this error are 64 bit and running the 64 bit agent.

My OpsView server is 32 bit.

Should I just run the 32 bit agent on my 64 bit servers?

I would be interested to know if this fixes it - we have successfully had x bit servers querying y bit agents within the same OS and to different OS's, too.  The only thing I am wondering about at the moment is if the agent has the same libraries installed as the master to enable full and compliant ssl key negotiation.

Can you run 'ldd /usr/local/nagios/bin/nrpe' on both the master and the agent to ensure all libraries are found and match?  Is this also using an opsview agent package?
