Nope, this is actually the master server that I'm checking.

Hi,

we have to use 32bit opsview packages on a 64bit master OS with in
order to support the 32bit OS clients. So checking the architecture by
the opsview-perl and opsview-base RPM scriptlets is not really helpful
in this situation. Perhaps it is better to omit the check at all?

Karsten

Hey Duncs,
Yup that sure did it. It seem that all the back log is going through now.
would you happen to know what could have caused this?
btw, i'm loving 3.1.0 (besides the ODW being behind the upgrade went through
very smoothly)

Thank you so much,

Hi,

after an upgrade from 3.0.5 to 3.1.0 everything seems to be running
except the web interface. We have this funny situation where we us
32bit packages on a 64 bit OS to support the 32bit clients. Maybe we
should use a 32bit perl version?

Check the paths produced by the following

perl -e 'print join " ",@INC'

and compare with what is in /usr/local/nagios/perl/lib to see if the
directories in here match what is in @INC

It wont be just the web interface though - some of the deamons will
also fail if the perl libraries cannot be found.

Hi Duncs

Ok, I have added the 2 checks in nrpe.cfg and restarted the agent, but I'm
still getting the same errors:

Solaris CPU Status Menu

That implies the problem is with the agent then - is the command you
are using defined within the nrpe.cfg file on the monitored server
with an associated plugin and the daemon restarted?

Hi Duncs,
Here are the outputs of each query respectively:

SELECT UNIX_TIMESTAMP(status_update_time) FROM nagios_programstatus;
+------------------------------------+
UNIX_TIMESTAMP(status_update_time)
+------------------------------------+
                        1245106276
                        1245706326
+------------------------------------+
2 rows in set (0.00 sec)

SELECT UNIX_TIMESTAMP(NOW()) FROM DUAL;
+-----------------------+
UNIX_TIMESTAMP(NOW())
+-----------------------+
           1245681146
+-----------------------+
1 row in set (0.00 sec)

Let me know if this clarifies anything,

Thank you,

I am concerned there are two timestamps returned here - there should
only be one for the active nagios that is running. Can you shut down
opsview, clear out that table and restart it again? Let it run for a
few minutes and then try the import_runtime again. It would also be
worth checking to ensure there are no extra nagios processes running
after you have shut opsview down.

Hi,

after an upgrade from 3.0.5 to 3.1.0 everything seems to be running
except the webinterface. We have this funny situation where we use
32bit packages on a 64 bit OS to support

# service opsview-web start

# perl -v

This is perl, v5.8.8 built for x86_64-linux-thread-multi

Any suggestions for this issue?

Hi Duncs,

> perl -e 'print join " ",@INC'

I got /usr/local/nagios/perl/lib/x86_64-linux-thread-multi, which
seems to be a relict from an earlier install of 64bit packages. I
deleted it and reinstalled the opsview-perl 32bit package. Its i386-
linux-thread-multi directory is not used by /usr/bin/perl, so I got an
even fancier error message.

So I decided to install the opsview-perl-3.1.0.180-1.ct5.x86_64.rpm
and for now everything seems to be fine;)

I had to do an 'chmod u+w /usr/local/nagios/etc' to be able to
recreate the slave configs.

bye,
Karsten

Can you post the nrpe.cfg file from the agent? Just blank out any
passwords or other config changes (if you made any)
