Hi to everybody... I have been studying HP OVO recently to compare it with opsview.. I have noticed that HP OVO (and similar products) have a new roadmap which must be catched by open source monitoring softwares..
OVO tries to go in IT service management direction from system management. System managent sees the IT infrastructure components.. Bu service management Tries to see the Picture in business customers's perspective. This is very related to what ITIL provides with IT.. So I think this must be implemented with open source tools opsview/nagios.. In nagios side, There is such a product called Bussiness process addon (http://nagiosbp.projects.nagiosforge.org/ ). There may be others which can be beter.. This is a simple tool but can be a good start for this new direction.. I recommend this to be integrated to opsview..
