Hi

Indeed after a very long time, don't know how long, i let it stay for this
night.

But it ends with an error that it could not start nagios, because it was
already started.

Now everytime i start apt-get upgrade it tells me 3 not fully installed or
upgraded and tries to upgrade opsview again.

thx

Nick

Hi Nick,

During my upgrade there was a (long) pause after the line "No slaves
defined, Finishing". Maybe you should wait a little bit longer

Regards

Had the same thing here, there is an upgrade lock file, I believe it is
under /usr/local/nagios/var

Subject: [opsview-users] Upgrade from 3.1 to 3.3 - ODW not updating

I upgraded today and my two slave updates failed due to requiretty being
enabled in sudo.

The error was "sudo: sorry, you must have a tty to run sudo"

Once I ran visudo and commented out "Default requiretty" I was able to
upgrade the slave.

When the slave updates failed I received the following error

error: %post(opsview-core-3.3.0.2993-1.ct5.noarch) scriptlet failed,
exit status 1

I figured it was due to the slave failures but now I am getting a
ODW_STATUS_WARNING. I tried to run /usr/local/nagios/bin/import_runtime
-i 1

but I got the message "Upgrade in progress".

I see that /usr/local/nagios/var/upgrade.lock exists. Is there a
background process still running and updating the database or did the
lock file not get cleaned up due to the "scriptlet" failure. Everything
else seems to be working fine.

Thanks!
