Here is what Duncan said: "This is because some of the images we use have moved from one package to another (base to core). Deb packages do not like one file being owned by two packages (whereas rpm and pkg files allow it). The problem in this case is that the new opsview-core deb is being installed before the old opsview-base deb is removed, showing up this conflict." Here is what Duncan suggested as a temporary workaround: "Of the various methods i tried (dpkg-divert, etc) the easiest way I found was to.. dpkg -r --force-all opsview-base aptitude install opsview Duncs" You should be able to search the recent archives to get a complete listing but essentially they moved images between packages and Debian based systems don't like that.
