I would like to follow up on this with what is going on. I assume as more people out there get new Cisco routers (with IOS 15) this will be seen more.
In IOS 15, the SNMP value ifType has been changed from just ppp for a Serial or similar interface to propPointToPointSerial (I assume other values, such as Multilink, have been changed as well though I don't have an IOS 15 router to test that on at this point. OpsView and/or NMIS does not recognize this value and will not collect statistics for these types of interfaces anymore. Would it be possible to update OpsView/NMIS to account for this or is there some type of workaround I can implement until this gets included in OpsView/NMIS?
