Yes, this should be invoked by Nagios every 30 seconds.
The map.local file is an override file, so if you haven't set it then
it will be ignored.
I just thought - we've seen some strange behaviour when opsview is
started without the environment variables set correctly. Restart
opsview with either:
* as root, /etc/init.d/opsview restart
* su - nagios; /etc/init.d/opsview restart
If you do an 'su nagios' (without the dash), then important
environment variables are not picked up
