Sorry about that. I figured out my problem while typing out the email as well:
In nagios, we map differences between hosts through host groups, so hosts that need similar services with different thresholds get those unique services through Host Groups. It looks like OpsView does this through Host Templates instead. I was trying to figure out how to map that information over.
